Nathan Pink Fluid Belt

And the clock keeps ticking. 11 days and counting. The excitement is almost turning into panic…Oy.

I have some “for sures” that will be coming with me on my 26.2 mile journey. And I still have some questionables. Of course, the weather will play a big role in what I run with and what I don’t run with. But there are a few things that are a must and will be coming with me no matter what.

The first and foremost is my pink Nathan Hydration Belt.

I love this thing, because not only can I tote along my own favorite fluid, but I can stash some stuff as well. (Plus, it was a gift from my step-daughter…and she knows me SO well!)

I don’t plan to carry plain water because I figure I can get that along the race route when I need it.

Tangy Orange Cytomax

I would like to fill one with Tangy Orange CytoMax, and the other with a Coco Cafe Coconut Water.

Plus, a few packets of Pedialyte in the fruit punch flavor. I know I’ll finish one of my bottles before the end of the run, so I can just use the race route water to make a Pedialyte if I feel I need it further down the line.

The handy pocket on the fluid belt will be great to store the packets, plus my energy gels, and a few bucks cash…because you never know.

I’ll also have to bring along some tissues, and maybe an Athletic Body Wipe. I think those are musts. Plus, a little baggie of Advil may not be a bad idea.

I will have my Flip Belt as well. This can store more of the same above, plus my phone. I don’t think that I want to put my phone on my arm band at this point. I may change my mind, but the Flip Belt has better access, and it seems to do the job quite well.

I still have to work out my clothing…but you can be sure that it will be neon! And, my shoes and socks are pretty much decided.

So, here is what I have right now, as things I want to have on hand during my run.

  • Cytomax
  • Coconut Water
  • Pedialyte Packets
  • Advil
  • Tissues
  • Aquaphor for chafing, lips, face
  • Energy Gels
  • Cash
  • Athletic Wipe

Seems like a lot, but I know I can fit it all in my two storage belts.

Next up, find out which Energy gels I chose and what I’ll have my husband carry in case he has to meet me with something…
