EnergyBits Review and Giveaway

ENERGYbits

Call me crazy…(OK, you don’t have to. I already know that I am!) but HELLO ENERGYbits! Who knew? Here is my story and my review, plus a chance to win your very own sample of ENERGYbits!

Today, I planned to attempt 6 miles. I’m still dragging from last week’s marathon. I won’t lie. My legs still feel like they have some cement attached to them. And there is still just a wee bit of soreness. I did a couple of 2-3 mile runs last week, but mainly, I walked outside just to keep the legs loose.

The day started as it typically does for me. I had my grapefruit and a half protein bar, plus my vitamins. Typically, this is enough to get me through a morning run. I brought extra fluid today because temperatures were in the 60’s already, and the sun was bright. There looked to be no wind.

I took along the ENERGYbits. I decided not to take them right away because it is hard for me to judge where my energy might come from. So, my plan was to take them somewhere before halfway on the route. This, I figured, would tell me more.

I started slow and easy. And by mile 1, I was questioning whether I could go 6. That is how heavy my legs felt. I could hear my footfalls, too, which told me I was already dragging. “Fix the form, Theresa.” I said to myself. I had to settle in and continue my slower than normal pace.

It was still a problem at mile 2 and 3. At this point I could see my turn around ahead, so I decided to pop the ENERGYbits.

Now, according to the manufacturer, you have to take a handful of these. I’m not a big person. And I looked at that handful like it was going to be a chore to swallow. I’ve read also that you can chew them. But that didn’t seem like it would be an easy thing to do either. But it was try or die. So I tossed them back. And as I fished for my water bottle, they already started to develop a slick coating as they sat in my mouth. So, when I took a swig of liquid, they went right down. Nice and easy! I swigged a bit more before I returned my bottle to it’s holster.

Well, the turn around was just before 3.5 miles. And dare I say that within minutes…minutes I tell you, I felt it. It wasn’t a “high” or a light headed caffeinated feeling, but it went right to my legs. Everything felt great! And, the turnaround means 1 mile up a steady slope. It was was easier than I thought it would be.

And for some reason today, Runmeter didn’t post my data. But I swear I ran a negative split! (Dailymile data)

I could cough it up to being warmed up, or I could cough it up to being the ENERGYbits. I gotta go with the latter. There was something. Something in those bits.

I didn’t take these for the marathon. I was afraid to try something I hadn’t tried previously. I did, however, have them with me. But yet, I didn’t take them. After today’s experience, I wish I had. I think they would have made the difference. And, since I have a rather delicate digestive system, I was pleased that it didn’t have any unpleasant effects. Seriously. Wow.

I’m a believer! Do you want to try them for free? Well, ENERGYbits was kind enough to offer me a sample to offer to you! So, here we go with another giveaway!

I’d like the superhero power to fly.

  4. This is really a hard question to answer unless it is like the show Heroes and then I would choose to have Peter’s ability. His ability was to “borrow” other people’s abilities. Then you could have “all” of the abilities.

I think it could be neat to fly – running is almost flying anyway, should not be a difficult transition!

  10. I would definitely be able to see the future. And walk through walls.

  11. Deirdre says:

I’d choose the ability to fly….running has always been my passions because it is as close as a human can get to flying. I’d love to soar the skies at night and just forget about my worries and throw away every bad thought that is attacking me.

    I would love to fly.

  12. Deirdre says:

Oops, I forgot to mention, I’m Mint C Dew!

To fly or move really fast (like Dash in The Incredibles ha ha). I’ve never tried EnergyBits but hear about them all the time!
