Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil Review and Giveaway

Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil

I was excited to arrive home this weekend to a plethora of packages at my mailbox. One was from Tropical Traditions. They package coconut oil of all kinds, plus household cleaners, supplements, etc. Their site is chock full of all natural products!
Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil is the product I was sent to review. I have to admit, I was very impressed with both the company and the product.

What is Virgin Coconut Oil? Find out here!

The packaging is magnificent! It was sent in a sturdy box, well padded, with the jar zip-lock bagged inside. I was surprised to see the product came in a glass jar! My husband and I are both sticklers for packaging and even he was impressed with this one!

I have to admit, I’m a coconut oil junkie. I use it from everything to sauteing vegetables, pan frying chicken breasts, adding it to my smoothies, and washing my face. But sometimes I like to just take a tiny spoonful and eat it straight from the jar.

Here is what I noticed immediately. This stuff is smooth as silk. I can’t say I noticed a particular difference in taste from any other coconut oil, although it did seem more “coconut-ty”, if that makes any sense to you. You can smell it as soon as you open the jar. I can say for certain that the texture was completely different. After a taste of this, I tried the brand sitting on my counter at the present time, and I can tell you that Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil has a much smoother, more refined texture. The other oil seemed more “lumpy” in comparison.

I can’t wait to try it in some of my favorite recipes! Then I can say for certain if Tropical Traditions will replace my regular brand, which, by the way, is whichever oil is on sale!

Have you jumped on the Coconut Oil bandwagon yet? What do you use it for?
