Oil, Oil, Toil ‘N Trouble – Runner’s Choice #Review and Special Offer

I was recently contacted by Trusted Health Products and asked to review their Runner’s Choice Botanical Oil blend. The Runner’s Choice is designed for people who are on their feet all day or for people that jog 3 miles or more at a time. Many folks use it for sore feet or for general discomfort.

The Runner’s Choice is a scientifically formulated blend of 100% natural botanical oils including almond, eucalyptus, eucalytol, wintergreen, peppermint and spearmint. Essential oils, unlike creams and lotions, are rapidly absorbed through the pores of the skin, with a simple topical application that requires no rubbing. Because they are natural, the outer layer of the skin receives them very well.

In order to get the best results, apply to your feet immediately before and after running, or if you have been on your feet for long periods of time. You do not have to rub it in. And the bottle has a “sprinkle” applicator so you are assured not to spill excess oil on you or your environment. You want to be sure you have no open wounds on your feet or anywhere you might apply the oil.

I’ve just been introduced to essential oils in my Yoga classes. I’ve always been a wee bit skeptical of them, but I’m willing to try anything once.

My first perception of this oil is the strong scent. It is dreamy, if you like eucalyptus. I’ve always been a fan, even though it can become a little nauseating after a while. But I think the reason this oil is different is because it is blended with all of the other oils. It is strong and effective, but it doesn’t stay with you longer than a few minutes. It’s affects do, however.

After following the directions explicitly, I found that my feet stayed warm and comfortable during my runs, and after, they felt cool, dry, and somewhat tingly. It was a nice feeling, actually. I quite appreciated it. I couldn’t say if they actually aided in any “soreness” since I don’t have any issues with that and my feet before, during, or after runs. But, it did make them feel refreshed.

I also took the opportunity to apply it to a sore spot on my shin. I’ll be a monkey’s uncle if it didn’t tame that muscle strain!

It is also a great product if you have “hot feet” when you sleep. For some odd reason, despite my Raynaud’s and my purple toes, my feet radiate heat at night and make sleeping rather difficult and uncomfortable. I’m always looking for a way to keep my feet outside from under the blankets while keeping the rest of me covered up. I tried applying this oil in the middle of the night and presto…my feet immediately cooled down and allowed me to drift back off into a magnificent slumber. This was surprising but a great find in the hot feet predicament.
